My story

Why I made the change

For nearly three decades, I helped families understand Mannatech’s glyconutrient supplements, and the vital role they play in supporting cellular communication and a healthy immune system.†

Then I learned about a new generation of glyconutrient technology, and research showing an important difference in the acemannan itself. Once I understood what I was looking at, I couldn't pretend I hadn't.

I've always believed my first responsibility is to recommend what I genuinely believe is the best option for the people who trust me. When I became convinced that this newer glyconutrient technology offered a formulation and value I could no longer ignore, I knew I had to share what I had learned.

Although I was still willing to recommend the rest of the company's product line, I could no longer personally recommend that one product as the best available option. Because of that decision, the company terminated my account, ending nearly three decades of income overnight.

Sometimes standing by your convictions comes at a cost. As my husband's full-time caregiver, I'll be honest: when I first heard the news, I battled fear. But I also knew that God couldn't work through my fear, only through my faith.

Over the next few days something unexpected happened. Fear gave way to peace, and then to excitement. Today I don't feel like I lost something. I feel set free. I'm dreaming again. And for the first time in a long time I can wholeheartedly share what I believe is the very best, without hesitation.

Why acemannan got my attention

If you’ve spent years learning about glyconutrients, this is the ingredient I believe is worth understanding.

Not all aloe polysaccharides are the same. Published research has found that molecular size matters. In the cited study, aloe polysaccharides in the 5–400 kDa molecular-weight range demonstrated the strongest macrophage-activating activity among the molecular-weight fractions tested.†

Why this caught my attention

The comparison shown above reports BiAloe® at 15.1% in the <400 kDa fraction, compared with 4.1% for sample M, approximately 3.7 times as much in that measured fraction.

According to Lorand Laboratories, the commercial samples were evaluated for total Aloe Poly Acetyl Mannans and by size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine the molecular-weight fractions. Lorand reports that the testing was performed by different independent laboratories using blinded samples.

After 28 years of working with glyconutrients, that was a difference I couldn’t ignore.

How do I use VeraCell?
